Who am I?
My name is Luke Edelman and from a young age I have been fascinated by everything that ticks, turns and moves.
On my 21st birthday, my parents gave me a beautiful watch. It sparked a new passion in me. From that birthday onward, I wore the watch every day and began looking for many more watches that appealed to me.
The watches I liked were all beautiful in their own way. Of course, I wanted them all in my collection, but a beautiful collection also comes with a price tag. That made this new passion seem out of reach. Then I found the right solution.
A watch with the same look I had fallen in love with, but at an affordable price!
The research
Learning and experimenting
Eventually, I discovered the world of Seiko modifications. After watching many YouTube videos about how to assemble a watch, I decided to try it myself.
I bought the first parts that are essential to a watch: the case, dial, hands, bracelet, bezel ring and, just as importantly, the movement.
When these parts arrived, I took out my toolbox and began building my first self-built watch.

When I began building my first watch, I discovered that the right tools save a great deal of effort. Building my first watch took me around two to three hours.
You learn by making mistakes. The build taught me a great deal, and I was proud that my first watch was a success.
The growth
From amateur to professional
By building more watches, I became increasingly confident and produced watches of ever-better quality. When I began wearing the watches myself, people started to notice them.
As a result, I was asked more and more often: ‘Where did you buy that watch? It looks beautiful.’ That was fantastic, of course. Because the watches could be individually configured, I have had the pleasure of building and seeing some truly beautiful combinations.
The start of a business

After building and selling around 500 watches, I was ready to start my own brand.
With my brand, I want to give people the peace of mind and confidence to wear their own custom dream watch, without having to source parts or work on the watch themselves.
I also want to use my brand to try new things by developing and improving familiar styles, such as the black cases I began using.
In the past, black watch cases looked great, but they scratched very easily. If you accidentally knocked the watch against a table or wall, a grey mark would appear immediately.
After a long search, I finally found black components that are far more scratch-resistant. I can now proudly sell them under the Edelman name!
Naturally, I tested the first Edelmanwatches models myself to make sure they really do resist scratches. Even after wearing them for several months, I still have not found any grey scratches!
Entering the market

From experience, I know how difficult it can be to find a beautiful watch that suits your taste and remains affordable.
In addition, many people do not dare to wear their original luxury watch because they are afraid it may be stolen.
In short, my mission is to bring luxurious and stylish watches to market that you can wear with confidence, instead of leaving them in a drawer for fear they might be stolen from your wrist.
Vision
I want to make people as happy as watches make me and share that happiness with everyone.
My goal is for everyone to feel confident wearing a beautiful, affordable watch with a luxurious appearance.
I also want to make watches personal by adding an individual touch, so that everyone can wear their own unique watch.
